BUSINESS D. Branch takes the 6" Dob; T. Raithby retains the 4.5" Dob; A. Guay claimed the 90 mm refractor; M. West took the solar scope; T. Laderoute claimed the 11x80 binoculars; P. Owen retains the camera adapters.
 
ASTRONOMY TALK M. West gave a timely talk entitled "What's Up with the Calendar, Anyway?", including a historical perspective of lunar and solar calendars and improvements made through the Julian and later Gregorian calendars. He ended with thoughts on a more symmetric calendar.
 
OBSERVING REPORTS D. Branch was observing dark nebulae with large binoculars. M. West continues his lunar phase project and also saw a red meteor going through Orion. C. Curwin had a good view of the Milky Way while in Alberta. A. Huskins resolved the Double-Double. C. Millet saw two rainbows side by side while in NS. P. Owen saw a morning rainbow for his first time.
 
SHOW & TELL, BUY & SELL S. Hiew showed an old 7" Moon globe she found in a used store uptown. A. Huskins has a 5" Antares refractor with Telrad , 2-speed Crayford focusser and 2 eyepieces to sell ($375), Celestron 15x70 binos ($40) and a solar filter for a 5" aperture ($30). M. West displayed his ETX-80 refractor after he removed it from the fork mount.
S. Hiew won the scope donated by P. Webb. (Thank you Phil!). $195 was raised for RASC NB. C. Doucet of Moncton won the RASC raffle scope on November 5.
