OBSERVING REPORTS |
C. Curwin is averaging 30-40 visitors for his outreach observing at Saints Rest Beach. P.Owen has been doing white light solar observing. D. Beaudin caught a shadow transit of Io with his 12" Dob. D. McCashion and E. O'Reilly imaged Comet C/2013 X1 PanSTARRs one morning, and saw a beautiful rainbow one evening. D. Chase observed a sunspot. J. Stewart observed the Ring Nebula and the Blinking Planetary Nebula..

ASTRONOMY TALK |
M Powell gave an informative and interactive talk on Finders and How to Use Them, including the different types of finders and pointing devices. Members shared their experience and recommendations. Mike also gave a brief slide show on what we do as an astronomy club.
