| ASTRONOMY TALK |
D. Branch gave a talk on "Stellar Spectroscopy". He went over the history of spectroscopy,the classification of stars based on their spectra, Doppler shifts, and the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. He is involved in a project with 2 fellows in Florida to spectroscopically detect exoplanets.
