Another discussion was held on what to buy with club money. C. Nason will purchase 2 phone adapters, a nose piece, 2 T-rings, and some Baader film for making solar filters.

| OBSERVING REPORTS |
J&D Branch did an astronomy observing evening with the Rangers/Girl Guides with approximately 12 people attending. T. Raithby went into the Fundy Trail to image the aurora & showed some night-time photos and an aurora photo. D. Branch vacationed in Florida and met people from an astronomy club down there. They talked a lot about spectroscopy and about their partnering to develop a spectroscopy computer program to search for exoplanets.

| ASTRONOMY TALK |
P. Webb gave a talk on how gravitational influence can point to the "big hidden stuff in the Universe" such as Planet 9 beyond Neptune. He described how this played a part in the discovery of Neptune and the black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy. He explained how astronomers Mike Brown & Konstantin Batygin at Cal Tech predicted the existence of Planet 9 through mathematical calculations, observations of Kuiper Belt objects and the effects of gravity.

A. West showed her Celestron aluminum binocular tripod adapter. C. Curwin showed a padded case he bought on sale at Canadian Tire which can hold eyepieces, filters, and accessories.
