BUSINESS Business: Club scope - Adrien Bordage has made a solar filter for the club scope. Phil Webb has donated an Astroscan to the club. Ralph Eldridge in St. George is donating a 4.5" reflector for the club or a youth group (Curt will pick it up). Thank you Adrien, Phil and Ralph! No takers for the club scope or solar scope, so Adrien will take them. June borrowed the Astroscan. We will have a booth at Lancaster Mall for Astronomy Day, April 20. Curt to check on insurance coverage regarding non-RASC members. June was contacted by a group for a presentation. She will forward the request (done - to Curt). D. Beaudin returned Disc 11 and took Disc 13.
 
WHAT'S UP C. Nason reviewed what to observe over the next month.
 
OBSERVING Adrien has picked up on observing for the Explore the Universe and Messier certificates. Candace saw a moonbow last August. Myrtle saw a sun pillar. Curt verified he couldn't see Comet Pons-Gambart from his backyard, but he did see two satellites and a plane crossing in a small region of sky.
 
ASTRONOMY TALK All Sky Camera: Adrien relayed the history of our meteor camera, which has been retrieved from UNBSJ, and outlined possibilities and requirements for remounting it somewhere.
 
SHOW & TELL, BUY & SELL Adrien got two 2" eyepieces off Cloudy Nights for a good price. Curt got 2 DVDs of old astronomy books, 85 in pdf, on e-Bay.
 
ASTRONOMY TALK . June/Marc played Cris Hadfield and company singing the ISS song. June also showed some recent favourite astronomy photos.
