Chris Curwin has the solar scope; Ed Kaine still has the club scope; the October and November meetings will be at the library, and June is looking into a church on Douglas Avenue for a meeting place; June mentioned getting brochures on buying telescopes and binoculars (RASC or Sky & Tel Web sites probably have them) for public information. Dave B. returned DVD #4 and borrowed #5. Adrien B. borrowed DVD #1.

Curt covered the things to watch for in the sky over the month.

OBSERVING |
Dave B. had pictures of Comet Garradd near M71 and the Coathanger; Adrien B. and Curt N. had been observing sunspots; Curt also saw Mercury while in Dartmouth; Al H. saw a double shadow transit on Jupiter one morning and showed pictures of a circumzenithal arc; Mike P. had 30 s pics of the ISS and four 1-minute pics of Comet Garradd that showed movement against the stars.

Dave B. brought a beautiful Williams Optics Megrez 90; Adrien had new Meade 9x63 roof prism binos; Curt brought tiny Moon and Mars meteorites; Al H. donated some books: Skywatching, Universe fold out, and Voyage Across the Cosmos.

Mike showed slides of the star parties he attended and June showed pictures from the Urban Star Park ceremony at the Irving Nature Park.
