WHAT'S UP Curt covered the things to watch for in the sky over the month.
 
OBSERVING Curt saw Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and a slim Moon at the golf course; Ed was also observing morning planets; Mike and Curt were solar observing; June tried for a picture of the Moon reflecting of clouds from a plane.
 
SHOW AND TELL Chris Curwin brought a large book (Cosmos) and donated it to the club. Thanks, Chris! Chris showed a new 72 mm Astrotech Apo refractor that he will use for a guidescope; Mike P. brought an Astrotech Ritchey-Chretien from Astronomics, with expansion rings to bring a camera to focus; June bought several books in Ottawa, mostly for kids, and showed pictures from Astronomy Day, Earth Day and the Museum of Science and Technology.
 
Astronomy Talk: MMM #11 Marc and Adrien gave a slide show of their trip to the Delmarva Mirror Making Seminar in March, a long sleepless weekend. They described the road trip and the various stages of mirror making, including grinding, polishing, pitch laps for final polishing, mirror testing.
