BUSINESS The club scope is with S. Tompkins for upgrades. A. Bordage took the PST. has the solar scope; T. Jones borrowed The Universe book / DVD. June reminded us of Earth Hour on March 26 (observing at the Algonquin, possibly at locations in Saint John).
 
WHAT'S UP Curt covered the things to watch for in the sky over the month.
 
OBSERVING P. Cyr braved the cold to observe M31. Adrien had been doing solar observing. A. Huskins watched a double shadow transit of Jupiter's moons on a cold evening. D. Driscoll observed the Lunar X a couple of months ago. D. McCashion imaged sunspots and prominences through the PST.
 
Astronomy Talk Peter talked on Finding the Winter Constellations, covering the circumpolar constellations and the Winter Hexagon, including many old drawings from charts.
 
SHOW AND TELL S. Tompkins brought a book "Questions and Answers on Astronomy." C. Nason had "Astronomy" by John Herschel, c. 1850. P. Jensen showed a Baader 2" diagonal with a lever lock.
 
YOUTH ASTRONOMY CLUB 3 members. We learned how to use StarFinders and had a presentation on circumpolar constellations.
