WELCOME As a combine SJAC/RASCNB meeting, Peter J. did a welcome and RASC meeting announcements
 
WHAT'S UP Curt covered the things to watch for in the sky over the month, including where to find the planets and what to look for, and featured the crater Clavius on the Moon.
 
OBSERVING REPORTS Steve T. did a neighbourhood observing session in Gilmore Subdivision and is doing another this night. Jacky S. showed a video of the Perseids and an animation of the ISS being built. Ted. D. bagged Comet P/103 Hartley. Don K. caught a bright Iridium a week ago. There were some reports on the Perseids, and Paul G. brought up the reports on the IMO Web page and explained why the numbers were low.
 
Building the PFO Observatory Mike Powell gave a slideshow on the building of a roll-off roof observatory in his backyard.
 
SHOW AND TELL Guy A. talked about the new Mallincam. Emma M. had a picture of a Perseid taken by Tim Doucette. Jacky S. showed an 80 mm apo refractor he is selling.
 
Business Club scope (Consuelo M); PST (Ed K)); RASC OH (Al H). There was more discussion on club T-shirts and a reminder of elections in October. Curt N will try to redo the logo using a screen grab from a planetarium program.
 
Paul's Summer Paul G. showed pictures of various astronomy events over the summer as well as astroimages he had taken.
