OPENING |
Peter opened with some slides of events at the museum and did a quick overview of the Clear Sky Charts website. Curt will check on making a donation to the CSC owner in hopes of more frequent updates. Peter also showed a lunar phase website, then we discussed keeping the Astronomy Display case at the museum going for a longer period.

WHAT'S UP |
Curt reviewed the things to look for in the sky and the astronomy events for the next month.

OBSERVING |
Ian L. observed M44, M37, M35, and M42 with his 8" and 22 mm Nagler. Mike P. was out until 04:00 today, seeing many Messiers, Saturn, an Iridium flare, and a fireball. Al H. had tried for Ceres but couldn't get it. Curt had a 3 comet night in Hampton. Dave M. observed M42 at Prince of Wales. Adrien B. had a great view of Venus near the Moon and has been doing public solar observing.

SHOW AND TELL |
Angela brought Bushnell 10x25 binoculars. Marc and Angela went to the David Dunlap Observatory and the Montreal Planetarium, and Marc bought a 130 mm/F5 scope. Ian bought Adrien's tripod and wedge for his 8" SCT. Mike had an ETX-60 with a Thousand Oaks solar filter. Peter showed two books, “The Cold Light of Dawn” on the history of astronomy in Canada and"Cambridge Double Star Atlas." Adrien showed his 90 mm Mak. Curt sported his Mickey Mouse IYA pin.
