WHAT'S UP |
Curt reviewed the things to look for in the sky and the astronomy events for the next month.

OBSERVING |
Dave D. observed Venus in a scope from the museum parking lot on Douglas Avenue, and went through Orion at Prince of Wales. Bill S. saw the shuttle and ISS. Ed O. observed Comet Lulin. Peter J. saw Lulin with binos and has been solar observing with his PST. Adrien B. and Curt N. did a talk and solar observing at Seawood School.

CONSTELLATION |
Curt covered the hard to find Monoceros, which has several showpiece objects like the Rosette Nebula, Cone Nebula-Christmas Tree Cluster-Fox Fur Nebula, Hubble's Variable Nebula, M50 and two Caldwell objects.

SHOW AND TELL |
Peter showed a new book “Galileo's New Universe”. Adrien showed his 90 mm Mak. Curt sported his Mickey Mouse IYA pin.

BUSINESS |
Club scope – Len Larkin; PST – Curt/Adrien (June wants it for July); book “the Cosmic Perspective” – Ed Kaine; DVD – “Destiny in Space” – Roy Hess; DVD #1 - John Dunlap; book “Backyard Astronomer’s Guide” - ?; book on “Mars” – Shawn. Some will meet at the museum on the afternoon of March 30 to work on the display case and decorations. Thursday speakers in April will be June, Peter, Curt, Adrien and Annette. Saturday kids' programs to be done by June, Curt, Adrien and Dave Driscoll.
100 Hours of Astronomy - observing Friday at Seawood, cloud date Saturday. Saturday solar observing at the Market in morning and Wal-Mart in the afternoon. Sunday solar observing at the Superstores on Rothesay Avenue (Dave D) and in Rothesay (Adrien and Peter).
